This Lonely Crowd - Shimmered Reveries

A queen sat a window sewing the snow, falling like feathers
she pricked with the needle
and three drops of blood feel on the snow
'would that i had a child, white as snow, as red as blood and black as the woods
of the window.'

'Looking glass, looking glass on the wall, who in this land is the fairest of all?'
'Thou, o queen, art the fairest of all!'

'Looking glass, looking glass on the wall, who in this land is the fairest of all?'
'Thou are fairer than all who are here, lady queen
But more beautiful still is Snow-white as i ween!'

And envy and pride grew in her heart, and she had no peace day or night
And envy and pride grew in her heart, she hated the girl so much...
(the witch-queen laughs)
Huntsman! Take the child away to the forest
Kill her and bring me her heart!
